A Peruvian-born artist, Roxana began her career studying technical drawing as part of a Chemical Engineering degree at the University of Trujillo, Peru. In 2000, after two decades in Canada and the U.S., she immigrated to Melbourne, Australia. Australia’s beauty moved her to depict it through art, changing her life path irrevocably. Roxana was tutored by the late Aussie master painter Kevin Taylor. In 2002, she attended the Brisbane Institute of Art.
In 2003, she continued her studies in Europe at the Painting Studio of Montmiral in the South of France, and around Provence. In 2004 she returned to France on a painting trip through the south, and again the following year to sharpen her artistic skills in Paris and Bordeaux.
In 2006, she furthered her studies at the Scuola Leonardo da Vinci in Rome and Florence. |

showings in Australia, the U.S., Canada and other countries overseas. Roxana’s work is inspired by her world travels, and deeply influenced by the Impressionists. The majestic landscapes she depicts, largely painted on-site, transport the viewer to such far-flung places as the rough southern coast of Australia or the orange-tinted hills of Tuscany. |

In 2014 Roxana went back to Italy for a Plein Air painting trip-workshop at La Romita School of Art in Terni. She was inspired to paint scenes from Rome and the Umbria region in the Heart of Italy.
Roxana went off the beaten path to the enchanting Medieval villages on the hill tops like: Labro, San Gemini, Vallo di Nera, Spoleto, Todi, Assisi, Orvieto, and rolling green valleys, creating sketches and small paintings that will become studio paintings for a show in USA.
In September 2014, Roxana successfully exhibited in the "Memories of Umbria" show in Leesburg, Virginia, USA.
In the Summer of 2015, Roxana returned to Paris and then traveled through Bucharest, Transylvania, Austria & Switzerland on a Painting Journey.
She is currently working on large oil paintings that capture the amazing beauty of the Swiss landscapes and lakes. |
